General What do you want to see next for strategy / simulation?

I do not even trust all this “better AI” talk again. It's the same pattern with new packaging honestly. I’d rather have smarter mission design than fake “intelligent” enemies. I remember one game where devs brag about AI, after few matches I was able to decode everything. That's a waste of time.

General What's the Best RTS Campaign of all time?

StarCraft campaigns are good no doubt, but I still feel some people underrate AoE campaigns too much. I grew up grinding those missions like my life depended on it 😅. The historical vibe hits differently to be honestly. Nostalgia aside, both are elite, it just depends on your taste honestly.

General What is a good strategy game I could play on my phone

Those mobile strategy games are traps mostly. The ads will choke you. I downloaded one last week, before I even understand the gameplay, they have shown me like 6 ads 😒. I just uninstall it sharply. This is exactly why I stopped trusting Play Store ratings. Half of them are fake hype.

General What's the Best Entry Level Strategy Games?

I actually feel starting “too simple” can spoil your mindset. Not everybody needs baby steps. I tried that with a friend. I introduced him to a basic city builder, he got bored so quickly. When I moved him straight to something deeper, that’s when the interest came. Sometimes challenges can hook...

General Looking for a suitable Age of Empires Edition?

I would say AoE IV is not worth the stress if your system is not ready. I tried forcing it and my fan was making a huge noise 😅. I ended up going back to older editions and honestly I enjoyed it more.

General Is the RTS genre dead?

I think RTS is actually losing its ground more than we think. It's not just about attention shift”, the developers do not want to invest in them again. RTS needs to evolve, not just depend on the old fans holding its memories.

General Which RTS series deserves a comeback?

Command & Conquer comeback can even flop if they are not careful. This is exactly why I stopped trusting most revivals. They kill the nostalgia plus the microtransactions thing. I was hyped for one remake before, the next thing was DLC everywhere.

General What's the most Challenging Strategy Game?

XCOM is very challenging, no doubt, but people overhype it a little. Some of the “difficulty” is just bad luck disguised as strategy. You will lay your plans well, then RNG will just disgrace you 😅.

General Best unit design feature in any strategy game

I actually disagree because sometimes “perfect unit roles” can make the game too predictable. If everything is too balanced, it's no longer a game.

News New Star Wars Strategy Game by Respawn & Bit Reactor Leaked

Leaks are always sweet but they are dangerous 😅. You would see early builds and start imagining the final product, but later reality would shock you. I’ve been there before, hyping one leaked game, even telling my guys to play and when it was released, it was one of those average game.

General Everything Confirmed (So Far) About Star Wars: Zero Company

Sorry to say this! These “everything confirmed so far” threads always give false hope 😅. I have learnt my lesson the hard way. Until I see the actual gameplay and reviews, I don't think I would believe anything again. I remember one game that they hype like crazy and when it dropped, it was a...

News New Star Wars Turn-based Tactics Game?

I was literally talking about this today, we really need more strategy games that has a proper depth, not just graphics. If it’s going to be a XCOM style, then it would need more brain work, but they should not overcomplicate it. That's what will make it appealing.

News Nightmare Frontier Announced – Tactical Turn-Based Horror Meets Extraction Looting

The Nightmare Frontier concept is very interesting but scary too😅 games that mix strategy and horror always mess with your mind. I tried something similar once, thinking I will enjoy it, but unfortunately not. But I like the risk-reward idea for sure. It makes the decisions feel more serious.

General Let’s Play Warhammer 40K Battlesector!

Warhammer missions is no joke 😅. Those guys would send wave upon waves like you offended them personally. 😂 I remember one mission I played, I thought I planned it well, but I was wrong. I didn't know how the enemies took over everywhere. But that’s the fun too, strategy games should be like that.

General Every Day We Fight Review | A Unique Approach to Turn-Based Tactics

This game sound like those games that has a very appealing trailer but stressful at real gameplay 😅 I’ve fallen for that trap before. It would sound nice until you start grinding the same thing repeatedly. I played one tactical game last week, the first few hours were sweet, later it just turned...

Reviews He Is Coming | First Look | Brutal Three-Day Death Loop

That kind of game carried a lot of pressure.😅 I don't think I have that kind of strength again. I tried one hardcore game like that before, I nearly broke my PC. Sometimes I just want to relax, not undergo constant tension.

    General MENACE

😅 MENACE looks great but, not every beautiful game worth your money. I bought one similar strategy game sometimes ago, the hype drew me in. After two days, I just abandoned it. So, I think it's better to wait for real reviews from people that have actually played it well.

General Will Any Series Ever Unseat Civilization?

Unseat Civilization? that would be very difficult 😅 that game has built legacy over the years. Even people that don't play strategy games know it. For another series to beat that, it will need consistency and innovation. Not just one good release. Many games have try to achieve that feat but...

Updates & Patches Cities Skylines II Anniversary Patch 1.2.5f1

These updates are good but sometimes it feel like patching problems that shouldn’t be there in the first place 😅 I remember when I first played, some issues were just too frustrating. So seeing improvements is nice, but I still expect better from the start. Still, I’ll give them the credit for...

    News KAISERPUNK releases tomorrow!

The Kaiserpunk idea actually sounds solid. I like games that can mix city building with war strategy. It gives you full control. But I just hope they don’t overcomplicate the mechanics. Some of these games just add plenty of systems until you get confused. If they balance it well, it would be...
