General Is the RTS genre dead?

RTS is not really dead, we could just say there is an attention shift. A lot of people now prefer quick games that fit into a busy lifestyle. I remember when we could sit down for hours playing long matches, but nowadays, even small delays can frustrate you. There are still loyal fans of the RTS game. What's your take on this?

I think RTS is actually losing its ground more than we think. It's not just about attention shift”, the developers do not want to invest in them again. RTS needs to evolve, not just depend on the old fans holding its memories.
