General The First Game You Ever Got Obsessed With

Do you remember the first game that kept you awake at night either through playing or thinking about playing?

For me it was Star Wars: TIE Fighter. First, the version in 1994 which I borrowed from a mate on floppy disk, and then as the sublime Collector's CD ROM which whacked up the resolution to an incredible 640x480!

What game got you hooked?

Mine was not even a fancy game like all these old classics. It was a GTA Vice City. I would save money and skip lunch just to play for one hour. That feeling of being hooked doesn't come easy again. These new games rush everything very quickly now.

Back then, one game could carry you into another world entirely. Now all we get are updates, patches and some headache. There was a football manager game that nearly made me fail my test, I wont lie. That deep connection that make you lose your sleep is very rare now to be honest.
