General Is it better to play aggressive or defensive in most turn-based games?

I don't think one style fits all. I used to play aggressive like crazy, thinking that pressure is everything until I kept losing the game. Then I switched to defensive, started surviving longer but losing slowly. The truth is, you have to read the situation. Some moments need patience, some need that craziness. If you stick to one style, you’re predictable. That’s where the problem is. I dont even pick style again, I just react based on what I see.

Sticking to only aggressive or defensive is a beginner mindset. I tried both and got punished for it. I switched from slow play to quick pressure and that was my best comeback ever.
