General Is it better for a game to have a high skill ceiling or be easy to learn?

I was checking the Steam reviews this afternoon and noticed people arguing over this. Personally, a game should be easy to join but hard to master. If a new player feels lost after ten minutes, they will uninstall the game very quickly. But if everybody becomes an expert after one weekend, the game dies too. It's like learning to drive. You should move the car quickly, but becoming excellent should take time.
