Change in ownership can go either way. Sometimes new people come in and improve everything, sometimes they destroy what was already working. I’ve seen blogs and platforms change like that before. At first you would think that better things are comimg, next thing, the quality would drop. But I wish them well anyways.

You said it perfectly, it can go either way. Sometimes new ownership brings fresh ideas and structure, but other times they lose what made the platform special in the first place.
The risky part is when they try to change too fast. That’s when loyal users start noticing the drop in quality.
