I'm old enough to remember when you had no choice but to wait until next week for the next episode. When a TV show was on at 9pm on a Saturday and if you missed it, well that's it, you missed it. Now, everything is On Demand. Streaming services are many, and you can often access an entire series and watch it in one go.

Some people are purists and they like that episodic feeling of having to wait. A week of talking about a show before the next episode. Those were the best of times. The anticipation, right?

Do you like the wait, the feeling of excitement when you're waiting for the next instalment of your favourite? Or does the inconvenience of having to wait piss you off? I've just watched the first episode of The Last of Us 2, and having to wait for the next one is a little excruciating. I guess I've been spoiled by having open access most of the time.

Do you prefer to binge or watch on a release schedule?

This one really depends on how you like to experience a story. Binge watching is convenient because you stay immersed and finish the story quickly. But weekly episodes create something else. When a show like The Last of Us releases weekly, people spend the whole week talking about theories and reactions. That builds excitement around the show.
