General Any Strategy games with good and smart AI?

I was checking some games that claim to have “smart AI. Most of them still feel predictable after some time a truly adaptive AI is rare because balancing it is not easy at all. Some strategy games try, but once you learn about the patterns, the challenge reduces. There are a few titles where AI behaves differently based on your moves. … But truly to get a smart AI that would surprise you constantly is very hard to find. What do you think?

“Smart AI” in games are mostly marketing grammar. Once you play long enough, you will see say how they recycle their patterns. I also believe that too much of realism will annoy the players too.
