The issue of “luck” is a big one in strategy games and it is where many developers deceive us. Strategy games are supposed to reward your hardwork, not luck. I remembered how my well-planned attack failed because of one random nonsense. If I wanted that kind of uncertainty, I would play some random games. At least there, I know what I signed up for. A little randomness is fine, but when it starts deciding everything, it stops being a strategy. It becomes a frustration.

RNG can be very annoying. I won't lie. It's even worse when it starts deciding everything. I remember one match where I planned to attack, one random nonsense just scattered everything. Because of that, I close the game immediately.
