How many games have you finished so far this year? One, two, any? Sometimes it's down to the game design. Most open-world, live-service games never end (I'm looking at you Destiny 2!) and that can steal any sense of accomplishment someone like me gets from games.

I have replayed Portal and Portal 2 this year - I'd love to see Valve make Portal 3 - or Half-Life 3 PLEASE! These are games with a beginning and, importantly, an ending. I like to know there's an ending. Otherwise, what's the point?

I have given up on finishing games 😂 especially if it starts to drag. Back then I used to chase the game endings like it was a trophy, now I don't do that anymore. If a game doesn't respect my time, I won't respect it either.

Some people are still forcing themselves to complete games. For me, I don't have that kind of strength again. Once the enjoyment drops below 50%, I’ll uninstall straightaway. I prefer short games that are sharp and meaningful.
