Music is sweet but it's a trap 😅 I’ve lost too many matches because I was listening to music. And whenever I switched off the music, my gameplay improved instantly. But the silence can make things too dry too.
It has happened to me severally. I would say “just 5 mins” next thing it's 3am. The next day you would be so tired and weak to go to work. It's funny and pathetic at the same time.
The deep tech tree is nice until it turned into a deep confusion😅 I opened one game like that, I just close it immediately. Also, the simple ones can also bore you fast. Balance is the key but it's a pity that the devs don't always get it right.
I still remember one mission like yesterday, everything was perfect then boom one mistake wiped me out. I just stare at the screen like someone who lost a bet 😂. That pain is so much worse. I even turned off my computer that day. I didn't touch the game for like 3 days.
You just touch my pain point. These devs are just too stubborn. I’ve seen one game with perfect economy but useless combat, another with crazy battles but zero planning. If they are combined, it would be perfect. If they can swallow their pride and merge ideas, we would have gotten one...
That “unit ready” sound can enter your soul for real, especially late at night when everywhere is quiet. Those small sounds carries some weight even more than graphics sometimes.
Infinite resources is never a strategy. I remember one match I had my last resources, and when the enemy is coming to attack, my heart beats like it's real. That feeling is not there when everything is unlimited. That's the beauty of the game.
Skirmish is my peace honestly. Playing humans sometimes feels stressful and there is no breathing space 😂. With skirmish I can chill, sip my coffee and plan well. Sometimes, I just want control, not adrenaline rush.
This one sounds interesting but I am always mindful of hype. It seems like every release now is like a gamble. You will pay the full price, still wait for patches like it's an early access. If they deliver a solid combat, no microtransaction madness, I will support them.
I have given up on finishing games 😂 especially if it starts to drag. Back then I used to chase the game endings like it was a trophy, now I don't do that anymore. If a game doesn't respect my time, I won't respect it either.
My own controversial take is that most open-world games are scam. Big map, empty content. Imagine wasting your time to explore nothing. So, just give me a small focused game that makes sense, I'm ok.
These reviews are not to be trusted again. The game would crash, you will encounter bugs everywhere, they will still write that it's a masterpiece. Now, I watch gameplay clips and check small creators' opinions. At least those ones are still trustworthy.
Mine was not even a fancy game like all these old classics. It was a GTA Vice City. I would save money and skip lunch just to play for one hour. That feeling of being hooked doesn't come easy again. These new games rush everything very quickly now.
I am actually looking forward to anything that will actually feel complete on release 😂 because these days most of the games they drop are half baked. You would buy a game, next thing, it's patches and DLC to enjoy it fully.
There are leaks everywhere these days 😂 before the game even drops. I miss when you will only discover things afresh. Now there are spoilers everywhere. But the Arakko map sounds crazy. If they design it well, it could bring new vibes.
I think the DOOM fans 😂 don't ever move on so easily and I respect that . Romero is still dropping content like it just started yesterday. That kind of passion is very rare now. Most devs are fond of abandoning their old games and chasing money instead. But this one shows love to the core fans.
The best thing for them is to deliver 😂 because patience is gone unlike before. It seems remasters now take forever, even when the price is high. If they mess this one up, fans might not forgive them.
Keyboard and mouse all the way 😂 controllers for FPS on PC can be very stressful. I tried it once, spent like 30 mins just to set it up, next thing the sensitivity was so bad. I didn't enjoy it.
The gravity gun mention just wake some memories 😂. It was not an ordinary weapon. I remember the first time i use it, i laughed non stop. Nowadays, the guns are loud and shiny but no personality. That old design is still very preferable.
I will still defend old FPS era any time any day 😂 . Those games have the soul. Now everything is fast and flashy, no depth. These new games feel like noise sometimes. Old games will make you think, not just to react like robots.
